Why "Helvetic"?

Let’s clear up the common questions right away:

• No, Helvetic isn’t a font.
• No, we don’t design logos.
• And no, we’re not from Sweden.
   

The name Helvetic is derived from Helvetia, the classical Latin name for Switzerland. It’s an intentional reference to our roots - and to the qualities we bring to every engagement: clarity, reliability, and no-nonsense delivery.

Yes, we have been mistaken for a font. Someone even asked if we run an airline. (Fair - there is a Helvetic Airways.) 

But mostly, we've found that people remember the name once they understand what it stands for.

And yes, we’ve had to clarify more than once that Swiss ≠ Swedish. (Though we also appreciate ABBA.)
